Finally here in Chicago. It feels so good. I am so excited to get to know this place after having lived so close to it all my life. A good moment was eating a picnic lunch in Millenium Park on Tuesday with the Chicago skyline looming in front of us and the lake rippling behind us. Surrounded by my new friends, housemates, colleagues, fellow Avodah-niks.
The days are long as we are still in orientation. Conversations can be stressful as we navigate our new communal living situation. Work begins on Tuesday.
I am exhausted and must sleep. I'll give this blog a better intro when we return from our weekend retreat to Camp Chi (!) in Wisconsin.
